Great news for Foster Bulldog and Showalter Viking athletes: The registration process just became more convenient! The Athletic Department has created an online portal to allow almost all paperwork and payment to be done remotely. Simply create an account, login, and select the season and sport you want. All that is needed at the school building is $30 paid annually for an ASB membership and a current physical form completed at least every 24 months.
For families without online access, the district Athletic Department will open a school computer lab before each season for students/guardians to register. For the fall 2014 season, the Foster High School computer lab will be openAug. 11-25during business hours.
This year our 7th grade students completed a Culture Fair project on April 17th, 2014. The Culture Fair Research Project is a chance for the students to use the tools they have learned in social studies about cultural universals and apply them to their own lives. Our goal is to display, celebrate and appreciate the diversity of our school. It is important that our students understand that sharing their culture helps all of the community understand the world a little better. The project and culminating event helps to build upon the students empathy, as well as citizenship.
Community Schools Collaboration visits the University of Washington.
The students had tons of fun visiting the Burke Musuem, Odegaard Library, Kane Hall, Suzzallo Library, and much much more! Thank you to our AmeriCorps member Megan Brown for chaperoning and Lirra Zullo, Showalter's College and Career Readiness Assistant, for being an excellent tour guide! The students did amazing on the trip and were very eager to learn about college life!!!
